Celebrity DUI - Artie Lange Arrested for Alleged Drunk Driving

Another celebrity bites the dust. This time around it is the turn of stand up comedian and radio personality Artie Lange to be charged with DUI. Prominently featured in The Howard Stern Show, Artie made an unscheduled appearance in Toms River, but sadly for a purpose that may not excite his fan. Artie was charged with DUI when he was found responsible for a minor traffic accident.

Artie Lange Past Record

After being taken to the police station, physical and psychological test was conducted on Artie. According to media reports, Lange has used heroin in the past, however it is still not clear whether he was under the influence of illicit drugs or intoxicant. Stand up comedian has openly admitted in The Howard Stern Show regarding his problem with drug and alcohol abuse. He has mentioned all this in his book “Too Fat to Fish”. Artie was charged with DWI when he was all set to visit Ocean County Library to discuss about his book.

According to law enforcement officials, Artie was driving a leased 2009 Nissan Sentra when it rear-ended a car. There were two more people inside the card. At the time of investigation, Artie was very cooperative, which is quite surprising especially when you take into consideration his past record.

In starting, Lange supported the stance of US government with regard to Iraq invasion, but has since changed his mind. The favorite band of Artie Lange is The Who, although he also likes AC/DC and Bruce Springsteen. With regard to favorite book, Lange likes A Confederacy of Dunces.
